How long will it take for my editing to be completed?
One key editor works on your document to ensure consistency. You will need to factor this one-on-one time into your deadline, which will be agreed with us before we start your project. If you are unsure about how long to allow,
contact us beforehand and we will give you some guidelines.
There will always be rush jobs and 'needed yesterday' projects. Our editors are prepared to work nights and weekends to help you meet these urgent situations. However, there will be a surcharge agreed beforehand for this.
As we have editors and writers working around the globe, time differences should not affect delivery times.
But please, give us the time to do justice to your work.
Why do different editors make different decisions?
Editing is not a precise science. There are different style manuals, different conventions and the English language continues to evolve over time.
For instance, numbers can be dealt with in one of the following ways
- the numerals 1-9 are spelt out
- the numerals 1-10 are spelt out
- the numerals 1-100 are spelt out
- numbers at the beginning of a sentence are spelt out
- in the same way that we write $2, all numbers are given as digits.
No convention is necessarily more correct.

How can I check the progress of my work?
You can contact your editor or writer through our website, throughout the process.
If we are editing a long document for you, you might like to arrange for completed sections to be emailed to you at regular intervals.
How can I be sure the editor won't steal my ideas?
As part of their contract with us, our editors and writers agree to maintain client confidentiality, including the content and purpose of any document that is submitted for quote, editing or to be written. They also agree not to plagiarize any work.
How can an online service effectively write a document from scratch for me?

- deadline
- required length of document

Can I be sure you will meet my deadline?We will not accept your editing or writing project unless we can meet your deadline. Of course, if you submit a job with a tight deadline you will have to be prompt in accepting our quote. Some complex jobs will require you to respond quickly to your editor's request for clarification or more information.
My business does not allow me to pay upfront by credit card but I want to use your servcie. Is there any wiggle room here?
For large jobs that involve progress payments at specified delivery stages we will of course follow normal business invoicing procedures.
