Gail Brennan is editgold's founder and acts as supervising editor for the southern hemisphere. Gail's background as a training officer, writer and producer has contributed to her writing and editing skills. She ran a successful production company that produced over 200 television commercials, industrial documentaries and training programs. Gail has written commercials, radio ads, corporate videos and their accompanying workbooks and has received a number of international awards.

Krista is our US supervising editor. She received her Masters and PhD from Glasgow University and was a research fellow at Oxford University (UK). She is currently based at NYU. Krista has had a number of articles published in leading journals and has a wealth of writing and editing experience. Krista can switch easily between UK and US English.

Geraldine has over 20 years experience in writing and editing. She has edited textbooks, local histories, annual reports, newsletters, academic theses, policy and research reports, technical manuals, websites and scientific journals. Her writing credentials include annual and research reports, brochures, newsletters, policy statements, political briefings, speeches for politicians and senior executives, business and strategic plans. Geraldine has a BA and graduate qualifications in librarianship and information management.

Jane is inspiringly talented in a range of areas. She acts on television and in the theater, sings, song-writes,  dances, MCs corporate functions and is a frequent radio guest.

More importantly, for editgold clients, she is a published author - two of her books hit the stores during the last few years; another is sitting on her publisher's desk and she is in the research stage of her next one. Jane offers a wealth of knowledge, experience and down-to-earth common sense about writing - the highs and the lows, practical points and pit-falls. She's funny and witty. Chris is editgold's persuasive writing specialist. A career spanning more than 40 years includes decades as an advertising copywriter and creative director in Melbourne, Sydney, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, producing award winning work in television, radio and print. He started his freelance company in 1986 and now specializes in corporate communications and speech writing. His writing and editing skills can help you sharpen presentations, speeches, documents and letters - arranging and maximizing the effect of your content.

Fay is a University lecturer who is currently chief examiner in business communications. She has more than 20 years of experience with students who have English as a second language, most of whom are Asian. This has given her a deep understanding of the editing necessary to meet western conventions. As well as editing journal articles, business reports, theses and dissertations, Fay also helps students write scholarship submissions, CVs and job applications and prepares them for the interview that will help them win the position.

A writer and journalist all his life, Ray is both a journalist and an award-winning creative copywriter who worked for the likes of Ogilvy & Mather and Leo Burnett.

He has written books, advertising, TV commercials, documentaries, web sites and corporate videos.  He is currently a columnist with Australia's biggest-circulation newspaper The Herald Sun.

A particular bee in his bonnet is grammar - his spelling and punctuation knowledge has been featured in numerous articles.  But he is not pedantic - grammar should smooth the flow and understanding of words, not hinder them.  He will help make your document, clear, correct, and easy to understand.

Janice has worked as an in-house and freelance writer, copy-editor and proofreader for over 16 years. A former teacher with a BA and a postgraduate diploma in education, Janice has written educational materials for primary and secondary school students and teachers, specifically for the study of languages other than English. She now specializes in editing and proofreading of non-fiction, including avian magazine articles and books, biographies, local histories, corporate reports, educational texts and advertisements.

Kate has been in the commercial publishing industry for more than thirty years, and has writing, ghosting and editing experience across a broad range of text types and media, from applications for government grants to lavender-tinged prose for the tourism market. She is also an experienced writer of promotional copy. While her early years were in the educational publishing sector, her recent experience is in children's books, natural history, general photographic/tourism books and multi-media, with stints as publishing editor of a science journal, founding editor of a local newspaper and co-writer of a schools' dictionary in between. Kate can polish your text until it shines, structure your work for different purposes and audiences, and is scrupulous about maintaining textual integrity and author's voice.

David H. is a seasoned editor who specializes in technical and scientific reports, product literature and web content. With a Masters in science, he held a variety of communications posts with a government research body before launching a freelance business more than 20 years ago. Accuracy and attention to detail are hallmarks of David's work, as he transforms complex descriptions into lively, crisp prose that captures interest, informs, motivates, sells. As a passionate advocate of plain English, David simplifies technical jargon. He produces government reports, training manuals, annual reports, impact statements, research notes and fact sheets.

An experienced international journalist, Moira has worked at leading newspapers and magazines around the world for 25 years.  She has worked as a reporter, sub-editor and editor from Fleet Street to Australasia and is used to whipping copy into shape quickly.  As a former news editor at a leading national newspaper she understands the kinds of issues likely to attract news coverage and can use that knowledge when she writes press releases or reports for you.  She has a sharp eye as a proofreader, and, because she studied for a Master's degree in mass communications in the United States, is equally at home with British and American spelling.

David D has a PhD in history and has a postgraduate degree in editing and publishing. A former journalist, he is an experienced university teacher, researcher and administrator who lectures in communications and publishing and editing programs. He has written a number of non-fiction books, is the editor and co-editor of many others, and is a supervisor and examiner of higher degree dissertations. His structural editing, proofreading, review and copy-editing skills are focused on non-scientific books, history, biography and autobiography, regional and institutional studies, company histories, manuscripts, collections and academic papers.

Russell has 40 years experience, first as senior copywriter and creative director with two of the world's leading advertising agencies and later as a senior international motion picture executive involved with evaluating hundreds of screenplays, productions and promotions. Russell is a script assessor for a film organization. He is the writer of a successful feature-length documentary distributed in eight languages, and numerous articles published in magazines and newspapers. He lived for many years in Asia and is very experienced in working with people for whom English is a second or third language. He has written and edited keynote speeches for leading industry figures.

Russell's areas of expertise include

With over ten years experience in the media, Brad specializes in short, sharp, to-the-point humorous communications.  A former member of an on-air breakfast radio team, he is quick and inventive.  He's an experienced radio producer and has ghost-written two books.  His radio and print ads hit the mark and he is  renowned for his witty copy for flyers, brochures and corporate presentations.  Brad is an expert at turning the dry and boring into material that is entertaining yet informative.

John is an award-winning director, writer and script assessor. His adaptations of several books have made it to the big screen and he has also directed features and tele-movies. He has won several awards. In between directing, John works as a script editor and assessor. If you have a film or television script, John is the ideal person to assess your story, its appeal and likely success. He will give you detailed advice on how to improve structure, characterisation and filmic quality.
